Coaching Staff

Coaching Staff at Lilleshall

Many of the coaching staff at Lilleshall have a long association with the club.  From level 2 coaches through to parent coaching assistants, they all work extremely hard and play a vital role in running a vibrant and successful junior section.

  • Pete Maltby is our Head of Coaching.  Pete has been associated with Lilleshall for over 25 years and still plays regular senior cricket.  Pete is an ECB Level 2 Coach and has been recognised by the ECB though the national Sky Coaching Awards in 2009.  He also received an Outstanding Coaching Acievement Cricket Award (OSCA) in 2009.  Pete leads coaching for the u11 squad and he is also the Club Secretary.
  • John Witty is also a long standing coach at the club and a Level 2 ECB Coach, he is also the Club’s Cricket Manager.  Like Pete, John was also recognised by the ECB through the national Sky Coaching Awards in 2009 and also received an Outstanding Contribution and Services to Cricket Coaching Award (OSCA) in 2009.  John leads coaching for the u13 squad.
  • Richard Todd leads coaching for the u15 squad, Richard still plays regular senior cricket as Third XI Skipper and is an ECB Level 2 Coach.
  • Oli Todd is a member of the senior squad at Lilleshall making regular appearances in the First and Second XI, he is also a Level 2 ECB coach and holds a degree in Sports Development and Coaching.
  • Andy Bate has been a regular senior at the club and still plays a few fixtures, he leads coaching for the u10 squad  and supports Pete with the u11s.
  • Mark Hudson is an ECB Level 1 Coach and supports Richard in coaching the u15s.
  • Rob Bagshaw is a regular in the senior squads, a Level 1 ECB Coach supporting the u13 and u15 squads.
  • Andrew Ball is an ECB Level 1 Coach supporting John and Richard in coaching the u13 and u15 squads; he also administers the club websites.
  • Simon Mackriel is a Parent Coaching Assistant supporting the u15 coaching programme.  Simon is often in charge of the scorebook at many junior matches and writes most of the junior match reports on the website.
  • Andy Holdroyd is an ECB Level 1 Coach supporting the u11 and u13coaching programme.
  • Roger Evelyn-Bufton is an ECB Level 1 Coach supporting the u11 and u13 squads.
  • Kit Beech is an ECB Level 1 Coach supporting the u11 and u13 squads.
  • Neil Preece  is an ECB Level 1 Coach supporting the u10 and u11 squads.

All our coaches are eCRB checked with current First Aid and Protecting Children in Sport qualifications.
